Our Process

How We Fit Out a Shed

A clear plan, a fixed price, and a shed that is ready to work when we leave.

Site Visit and Load Assessment

We walk the shed with you, work out what you will run and where, check whether you need a supply or three-phase upgrade, and quote the fit-out fixed and upfront.

Fit-Out and Machinery Wiring

We install the board, run the circuits in conduit and cable tray, mount the lighting, fit your outlets and hard-wire your machines, all set out for how you work.

Test, Certify and Sign Off

We test every circuit and fitting, confirm the lighting levels and safety switches, hand you your electrical safety certificate and leave the site clean.

why choose us

Why Perth Trades Trust Refined Power With the Fit-Out

A shed fit-out is only as good as the crew who scoped it. Undersize the supply or the circuits and you are calling someone back the first time two machines run at once.

Refined Power is a locally owned Western Australian electrical contractor, licence EC15880, with more than 19 years of combined experience across Perth and the Wheatbelt, and commercial and rural sheds are core work for us. We plan for the load you will grow into, not just the one you have today.

Shed and Workshop Wiring Questions

It depends on what you run. Most household gear is fine on single-phase, but welders, larger compressors, lathes, hoists and dust extraction usually need three-phase. We check the nameplate loads of your machines and tell you honestly whether an upgrade is worth it.

Yes. We can bring a supply to the shed, install the board and wire it out. On rural blocks or long runs from the house, we size the cable for voltage drop and can arrange an underground supply so the far end still gets a solid connection.

More than most people expect. Under AS/NZS 1680, storage areas want around 160 lux while benches and detailed work want 400 lux or more, with even coverage so there are no dark spots. We design the high-bay layout to hit those levels across the floor.

New Shed Going Up? Get the Wiring Planned Before It Is
The best time to sort a fit-out is before the walls are clad and the slab is poured. Tell us the shed size and what you plan to run, and we will map out the power, lighting and machine circuits and give you one fixed price to make it work. No call-out fee to talk it through.
