Refined power gave us a quality service and went above and beyond to provide exactly what we asked for. Worth every penny for professional work. So far they have upgraded our fuse board and wired in car port lighting (in what turned out to be a very difficult situation), installed a chandelier and organised with western power to replace our mains connection box. All done very well. They will be our choice for any electrical work we need in the future. Thanks Oli & team👍Posted on Google David CarterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Oliver, from Refined Power, is professional, courteous and timely. Then he arrived same day at the time he said he would and fixed the issue. Polite, professional and an expert reliable service I will call again if needed.
Our Process
What an Upgrade Day Looks Like
One day, most of the time, with the power down for only part of it.
We open up the board, look for asbestos backing and spare capacity, and put a fixed price in front of you before anything starts.
Supply off, old board and any asbestos panel out, new enclosure in with breakers and RCD or RCBO safety switches wired to standard.
Every circuit reconnected and labelled, trip times checked with a calibrated tester, power back on, certificate in your hand.

Why Perth Homes Trust Refined Power With the Switchboard
Switchboard Upgrade Questions From Perth Homeowners
Yes. WA law calls for at least two RCDs on the board, covering all power and lighting circuits, before you can sell or lease. Most old fuse boards have no room to fit them, which is why a full upgrade is usually the answer.
Ceramic fuses, no safety switches, constant tripping, a burning smell or scorch marks, buzzing, or a board past 25 to 30 years old are the usual tells. Adding solar, an EV charger or ducted aircon is another.
Usually. Both need a compliant board with spare capacity, and the connection will not be signed off without it. Sorting the board first saves surprises on install day, and we can often do the pair together.
